AIBO


Anthropomorphism: ascribing human form or qualities to beings or things.

Artificial intelligence (AI): the science of developing a computer to have the ability to perform functions that require intelligence, such as learning and decision making.

Autonomous: independent.

Automaton (plural: automata): a device, usually in the shape of an animal or human, which appears to move independently of human control.

Biotechnology: genetic engineering, the manipulation of genes.

Chatterbot: computer program operating on the Internet that appears to respond to questions and conversation.

Effigy: a doll or representation of a person.

Homeostasis: physiological equilibrium within living creatures involving a balance of functions and chemical composition.

Machine intelligence (MI): inclusive term for artificial intelligence and robotics.

Quadruped: four-footed.

Tear down: a breakdown of an electronic object into its components.

Technophoric: technology-loving.

Thermometric sensor: detects changes in temperature.
