Australian designers at work is a collaborative project between the Technology Unit, Curriculum K-12 of the NSW Department of Education and Training and the Powerhouse Museum. It has been developed as an online resource for students and teachers of Stage 4 Technology (Mandatory) and was funded from the School to Work Unit of Vocational Learning in Schools Directorate, NSW Department of Education and Training.
Please note: The video clips on the introduction page ("See the movie") for each designer may take some time to download. When planning your lesson, please download the video clips before showing your class the site.
Australian designers at work features six designers, for students to gain the most from this site select one of the following strategies:
Students will not gain very much by surfing the site randomly, they really need direction to get the most from the material presented.
